                THE TREASURES OF THE SNOW!

22) Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,

23)  Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

                                                                                                                                                             Job 38:22-23

THIS PAGE IS DEEP, SO LISTEN TO IT ALL CAREFULLY!

When snow is seen under miscroscopes it is seen that no two snowflakes are the same. It is like a treasure chest of natural crystals! God says in the bible:

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Isaiah 1:18

Yes that is right! Just as every snowflake is uniques, particular, individual and precious in our sight, so the blood of Jesus Christ will make you to become, as an individual believer, as white as snow in God's eyes, so that you become a very special snowflake to Jesus, and part of God's eternal treasure in heaven.

"Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," Revelation 1:5.

The way this happens for you today is if you repent of your sins and take Jesus Christ as your Saviour, believing he died for you on the cross, and that he was resurrected from the dead for our justification (to make us just before God by his finished work). Of course being saved by Jesus does not mean you can sin, never repent, and still be saved, but Jesus said in Matthew chapter 7, every tree is known by his fruit, not saved  by his fruit. So by all means you should do good works, and repent of any sins, but that does not mean your good deeds save your soul. Jesus Saves is the true gospel (Luke 24:44-48, 1 Cor 15:1-4). He alone can make you as white as snowl before God!

BATTLE AND WAR

Most Christians when they read the bible realise that Jesus preached new law, quite different to that of Moses. such as allowing us to eat foods that were banned in the old covenant, like prawns, catfish, pork, bacon and ham. But truly spiritual people recognise that in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5 to 7) and in the Sermon on the Plain (Luke 6) Jesus preached new laws about divorce, polygamy, stoning, war and oaths. Jesus preached a new higher way of Peace and Love.

Most carnally minded men, with a violent nature, will not accept these new teachings of Jesus, such as "love your enemies" and "bless them that curse you" and "do good to them that hate you" and "pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you" and " But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.". They prefer the old way of hating their enemies: "I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies." Palm 139:22, and "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth, and a life for a life".

The biggest thing that convinces these violent people that they should dismiss the new, peaceful non violent teachings of Jesus is the idea that God would not let society fall into anarchy. But those who believe Jesus preached Love and Peace, not bombs, and war, and guns and revenge and capital punishments like hanging, the electric chair and lethal injections, do not believe God has left society, or indeed the nations, without defence either! "But how can this possibly be!"  I hear you say! Well, here is the answer you might have missed......

THE TREASURES OF THE SNOW.

In this very scripture God says he will use snow and hail to fight battles! "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?" Do you know that two of the biggest tyrants and dictators in history, Adolf Hitler and Napoleon Bonaparte, were both largely defeated by God using the terrible Russian winter against them? In the same way God can use unsaved men, who are dead in sin, just as he uses snow, or ice, or hail, or storms to defeat an enemy! Do you know for instance that the Roman Catholic Spanish Armada was almost completely defeated by the hand of God alone! As he broke their armada of massive ships apart with thunderstorms, cold, icy rain and winds!

The fact is Romans 13 is one of the most misunderstood chapters in the holy bible! God instituted governments upon the earth partly because before the flood the whole world was full of violence (Genesis 6:11)! The Epistle of Romans is said to be written in the AD 50's. In 70 AD historians tell us that the Romans attacked Israel and Jerusalem and murdered and killed up to a million people, mostly Jews! If these Romans were so "righteous" why did they do that? The very crucifixion of Jesus tells us the Romans were crucifying two men on either side of him for theft! (not the biggest of crimes!), The fact is the Romans were known for their extreme brutality. In fact that was why they had such terrible violent blood sports in their arenas - itwas to perpetually teach their people to be numb to the pain of others, and to be used to the sight of blood!

Romans 13 simply says God has chosen government over the chaos before the flood, NOT THAT GOVERNMENTS ARE RIGHTEOUS! and in general even the Roman equivalent of police in soiciety where used by God to stop riotous, drunken and violent behaviour, quote:

"For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:...... Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." Romans 13: 3 & 13-14.

But God goes further in his explanation in Isaiah chapter 10 (a key chapter to unlock what Romans13 is about). Here God says that he used the wicked Assyrian army to smite Israel, like a man uses a rod, a dead axe or a dead saw (they were dead in sin.)

Quote:

"O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.........  Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood." Isaiah 10: 5 & 15.

Then God suprises us all! In Isaiah 10 God says the Assyrian Army said they did this in their own power! So God then destroys the Assyrians!

God used the sinful man Pharoah, the sinner Nebuchadnezzar, and yes! the prophet Jonah (who had appalling attitudes) to fiulfil his will. So if a Christian is a halfway man, and refuses to obey the COMMAND of Jesus never to kill his enemies, God will still use them is some way, but paradoxically that does NOT mean they were not sinning when they killed in wars!

So yes! This means God could have used Britain and the USA in WW2 to defeat Germany, Japan and Italy!  But it does NOT mean that the soldiers who killed people on either side were ever righteous to do so!

"Blessed are the meek! For they shall inherit the Earth."

SNOW SHOWS US GOD IS THERE!

Do you really believe when you study the fantastic beauty of snowflakes that all that quite breath taking  beauty happened by chance? Can you see the divine handiwork of a loving and faithful God in the treasures of the snow? Snow that he has actually protected the world from war with? Are you willing to become one of the snowflakes of Jesus today? Will you accept Jesus Christ as Lord today? Will you accept him in your heart, that he and he alone can save your soul? For he alone has paid the price for sin on Calvary, by being nailed "blood on wood" for you to the cross. That he was raised again from the dead to save you, personally! Yes you! And every lost sinner like you! If you take him today as your Lord and Saviour Jesus will forgive and forget all your sins! Making the way clear for you to walk in through the gates of New Jerusalem forever! As clean and bright and perfect as a snowflake, by the power of the blood of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world! Amen! Take the wonderful gift of God today!

"All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." John 6:37

Why not! He died for you!
