HEAVEN - WHAT IS THE DEFINITION?

THE TWO COMMON BELIEFS

There are two common beliefs about heaven,  and it may shock you what the deciding factor may be in your personal decision about which one is right, namely: If Heaven is this, and Earth is that, where will you put Hell?

First let us look at how things stand now. The bible says there are 3 heavens. God dwells in the 3rd heaven, outside of the dark visible universe we see (2 Cor 12:2). Outerspace where the other galaxies are, and the other planets, our sun, and even the moon, is therefore the second heaven. The first heaven is the sky as we see it each day, the blue sky, containing the Earth.s atmospheres.

Secondly let us look at the main two beliefs about the heaven to come among Christians,

1) The 3rd HEAVEN WILL CONTAIN EARTH

It is my guess (I may be wrong, I have no statistics) that this is by far the most common belief among Christians. The bible says:

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea." Revelation 21:1

"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."

2 Peter 3:13.

"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind."

Isaiah 65:17.

The first interpretation of this, is that Earth as we know it now, and outerspace, are both completely destroyed, and a new Earth is created that becomes part of Heaven itself. Thus when Christians say "I can't wait to get to heaven" they are possibly referring to this belief, however they may be referring to another scriptural theme:

"Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21, and therefore they mean something spiritually in saying this.

so.............. this brings up a fascinating question............ COULD THE NEW EARTH BE FLAT!

This photo is of an old concept of the flat Earth theory. It represents what I consider to be one of the most strange and mixed-up of all models for the present Heaven and Earth concepts!
