Where Jesus Christ is Lord!
JOHN THE BAPTIST.

Quote: “John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.” Mark 1:4.
The populous of the OLD testament did NOT have their sins remitted in this way. It was a NEW teaching.
This happened to show there was a TRANSITION PERIOD between the covenants, when NEW LAW would be preached by the Messiah, only established as law for all when “all was fulfilled” (Luke 24:44-48) after both his death AND resurrection.
The very fact Jesus was a Jew from the Tribe of Judah PROVES FROM THE VERY START he would preach new law, as he is the High Priest of the new and better covenant, a place under the OLD law occupied by a person from the Tribe of LEVI. Establishing new law!
